The best of Britain, at no charge

FreePosh keeps a register of what Britain's finest houses give away — samples, tastings, upgrades, small services. Members hold a numbered warrant and claim them. Nothing costs anything, which is rather the point.

This week's entries

The register

Three of the forty-one currently open. Entries close when the house says they close, so it pays to look on a Monday.

No charge

Three steps, in order

How a warrant works

I.

Apply

Give us an email address. We issue a warrant with your number on it, usually within the hour.

II.

Claim

Pick an entry and show the number at the counter. The house does the rest, and asks nothing of you.

III.

Renew

Warrants run a year and renew themselves quietly, unless you would rather they didn't.

There isn't one, exactly. The houses pay to be listed. You pay nothing, ever, for any of it. The catch, in full

We do not sell your address. Not to the houses, not to anyone. They see a warrant number at the counter and nothing else.

We do not take a cut of what you spend. If you buy a bottle after the tasting, that is between you and the cellar.

You can close a warrant in one click. The register forgets you the same day, which is more than most can say.

Membership

Apply for a warrant

One address, one number, one year. There is no card to enter, because there is nothing to pay.

We write once when the warrant is ready, then once a week with new entries. Nothing else.
